1. How heavy is the plate armor?
Level III+ Special Threat Ceramic Body Armor panels weigh only 6.5 lbs each. 2. Is it illegal to wear body armor in public?
It is legal to wear body armor or body armor in public; for self-defense or emergency situations, as long as your local law enforcement agency or the laws of the state where you live do not prohibit anyone from wearing it.
